“Tu Zariya, hu main zariya (You are the medium, so am I) Aur uski kirpa, dariya dariya (And his kindness, like an ocean… an ocean)”

Rojas came from his home country Ecquador to Spain in 2000 while his family remained in Ecuador. From there, he went to Germany with a tourist visa repeatedly. Tina Turner

Om Sarvesham Swastirbhavatu- Tina Turner- A Chant for our times

May there be Well-Being in All,
May there be Peace in All,
May there be Fulfilment in All,
May there be Auspiciousness in All,
Om Peace, Peace, Peace.

Tina Turner, a life warrior, is a perfect living example of turning darkness into light, a longtime Nichiren Buddhist, who began her Buddhist practice in the 1970s while struggling to end an abusive relationship with musician Ike Turner and thought about committing suicide at her lows.

The song is a mix with vocals from ‘Motherless Child’ a song Tina recorded in 1968 on the ‘Outta Season’ LP, Buddhist mantra, Indians recitations, and Christian prayers. Featuring vocals by the Beyond Ladies, Regula Curti, Dechen Shak-Dagsay & Sawani Shende.

OM – The All-Knowledge of the three bodies of a buddha and of the infinite Buddha’s Holy Body, Speech and Mind. The knowledge of the two paths to enlightenment (Method and Wisdom), and of the two truths (Absolute and relative) that contain all existence within them. MUNI – Control over the suffering of the three lower realms and over the wrong conception of the self-existent I. MUNI – Control over the suffering of all samsara and over self-cherishing thoughts. MAHA MUNIYE – Great control over the suffering of subtle illusions and over the dualistic mind. SVAHA – May my mind receive, absorb and keep the blessings of the mantra, and may they take root.

2-hour chant of the Lotus Sutra

Sutra (Sanskrit) means a collection of aphorisms in the form of a condensed text.

Lotus Sutra-

One of the most influential Mahayina sutras

“For many East Asian Buddhists since early times, the Lotus Sutra contains the final teaching of the Buddha” Although the corpus of teachings attributed to the Buddha, if taken as a whole, embodies many contradictions, these contradictions are only apparent. Teachings are appropriate to the context in which they are given and thus their contradictions evaporate. The Buddha’s teachings are to be used like ladders, or, to apply an age-old Buddhist image, like a raft employed to cross a river. There is no point in carrying the raft once the journey has been completed and its function fulfilled. When used, such a teaching transcends itself. The Lotus sutra emphasizes that all these seemingly different teachings are actually just skillful applications of the one Dharma and thus all constitute the “One Buddha Vehicle and knowledge of all modes”.

Madonna- Ray of Light (1998)

Singing Shankaracharya (500 BC) adaptation in Sanskrit

I worship the gurus’ lotus feet
Awakening the happiness of the self revealed
Beyond comparison, working like the jungle physician
To pacify loss of consciousness from the poison of existence
In the form of a man up to the shoulders
Holding a conch, discus and sword
Thousand headed, white
I bow respectfully
Peace
